...on an additional note, I was planning on mounting my 690 upside-down, in a home-made table setup, and I ran into a little problem: how to mount the darn thing. I was thinking of 'simply' mounting it using the three tapped holes in the base, but then realized I can't actually go down to the local shop and get any US-standard bolts. So, could any of you guys with 690's tell me what thread/size screws I need to order (wanted to get some stuff from McFeely's anyway) to fit the 690's thread? Thanks in advance. |

Mattia...why can't you just remove the screws from the router plate and use the same ones to mount the router to your table plate? Anyway...they're 24TPI and 3/16". You may need a few different lengths. I'd suggest 1/2" and 3/4" for starters. |

Thanks for the info,. It's the length issue; I haven't settled on the material for the table plate yet, but I'd like to go a little thicker than the router's own baseplate. |
Mattia...why can't you just remove the screws from the router plate and use the same ones to mount the router to your table plate?
That's what I did. Got a Rousseau plate and built a table top for it, and just reused the original screws. Jim |
...they're 24TPI and 3/16"......
JJ, Could it be a #10-24? 3/16" = .1875" #10-24 is .190". |
